The very first Bys Vyken Bride was Beth. Beth had shopped around and tried on several wedding dresses but had yet to find “the one.” When she found herself scrolling through my website, one particular dress caught her eye – Holly, by Rembo Atelier – and it was love at first sight!
Beth knew she had to try Holly on, but there was one small stumbling block… Bys Vyken Bridal hadn’t even opened yet!
Thankfully, if there’s one thing I’m passionate about, it’s ensuring the perfect experience for all brides. If that means opening early, for a nearly-wed who believes she’s found the dress of her dreams, then that’s exactly what I’ll do! Beth came down to my private garden boutique and discovered that Holly was indeed her perfect match.
As you can see from her wedding photos, Beth looked stunning in her dress and it was an absolute delight to be a part of her story. Beth really was the perfect first step in our bridal boutique journey!
Zoe was so lovely in agreeing for me to visit the boutique before it had even opened! Zoe’s garden boutique has a perfectly relaxed, fresh and private feel and Zoe has selected a range of incredibly beautiful and unique dresses to stock. Elle
Being able to help a bride find their dream wedding dress is always a wonderful experience, but it’s made even more magical when that bride is a friend! That’s what happened when Elle came to Bys Vyken Bridal…
Elle and I used to play Roller Derby together (so I actually know her by the name ‘Taco’!), so when she came in with her mum and best friend, I was able to put together a fully personalised experience for her, right down to the music I know she enjoys! The boutique hadn’t been open long and it’s fair to say we weren’t expecting her to find her dream dress right away, but we were in for a beautiful surprise when Elle fell head over heels in love with Bloom!
To be a part of this special moment in a friend’s life really meant the world to me and I’m so pleased I was able to match this fabulous bride with her dream dress.
Bys Vyken Bridal was my first and only dress shopping experience and I couldn’t be happier. We had already discussed my likes and dislikes beforehand, so Zoe was prepared with options, suggestions and a few wild cards for me to try. The cherry on top: we found my dream dress! Thank you Zoe!
Sarah
Another of my early brides was Sarah. She came to her first appointment by herself and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It’s really important to me that every bride feels relaxed and able to be themselves, so with it being just the two of us, it was a great chance to showcase that level of personal connection that I pride myself on!
I believe that a bride should never feel rushed or pressured when trying on wedding dresses, so I made sure we had a nice, chilled out time, with lots of dresses to try on and plenty of chance to get to know Sarah so I could make suggestions for her. In the end, Sarah found “the one” in Jackson by Marylise. This timelessly elegant dress, with its beautifully soft bishop sleeves looked stunning on Sarah and was perfect for her gorgeous outdoor ceremony!
I’m so glad that I found Zoe and her garden boutique. I found the perfect dress and the whole process was very chilled and fun! Zoe was easy to communicate with and very flexible - and great company!
Kerrie
Whilst most brides come to Bys Vyken Bridal anything from six months to a year before their big day, I always do my best to make things happen when someone needs help with a dress on a tighter timeline. Kerrie was one such bride!
Kerrie came to the boutique in March. She actually visited Bys Vyken Bridal as part of her Hen, after some encouragement from her friends, who knew she didn’t like the wedding dress she already had. Every bride deserves to have a dress she loves and feels special in and with Kerrie’s nuptials scheduled for July, there was no time to waste!
Kerrie had been engaged since 1985 and was a little self-conscious about being an “older bride.” If there’s one thing I know, however, it’s that every bride is beautiful and deserves to feel fabulous, regardless of their age, size or personal style! Here at Bys Vyken Bridal, we cater to all brides and we encourage them to celebrate their uniqueness!
Flora by Shikoba Bride felt perfect for Kerrie’s Pagan ceremony and when she tried it on, she was an absolute boho babe! She opted for the full-length slip and fringed sleeves and she couldn’t have looked more stunning. Once she’d said yes to the dress of course, it was all hands on deck to ensure she’d have it with her ASAP! We got the dress to her in just three months, meaning she had time to have fittings ahead of her big day. Never say we don’t go the extra mile!
