The studio is wheelchair accessible (there is one small step to navigate).
I can offer BSL to anyone who prefers to communicate via sign language.
All reasonable adjustments will be met, so please do ask if there’s anything I can do to make your visit as comfortable and accessible as possible.

Appointment Types
For your first wedding dress consultation I book out two hours of my time to ensure we don’t need to feel rushed and you have plenty of time to explore how you feel in the dresses. For this professional bridal styling service there is a £25 charge. This usually means 90 mins of trying on dresses, with time to welcome you and to sort out any next steps (such as celebrating finding your dress or arranging follow up appointments).
Follow-up, veil and dress collection appointments are free of charge.
If you are in the initial stages of your dress journey and don’t feel ready to make a purchase, you can book a free 30min discovery consultation where Zoe can show you the dresses in the studio, talk through the process and give you some advice. These are a great way to see if you like my dresses and way of doing things ahead of booking a full appointment.
Please note: in the unlikely event that you do not attend your appointment, or do not provide 48hrs notice of cancellation, refunds will not be given. Where appointments are free (e.g. due to a special offer), a £25 no show/late cancellation fee will be applied. By booking an appointment you accept this condition.

Annual Sample Sale
For 2026 this will likely in November. Watch this space and instagram for details. Many dresses available and a huge discount, with some from as little as £299.
As a micro-business I need to make room for new sample dresses every year, so it’s the perfect opportunity to grab an absolute bargin!
What To Expect From Your Visit
Before you even step through the door, I’ll organise a “getting to know you” phone chat, so I can ensure your wedding dress consultation is completely tailored to you and your needs. This gives you the time to tell me your story, for us to talk about any thoughts you’ve had about your bridal style and share any important details, such as accessibility needs for your visit.
On the day of your visit to Bys Vyken Bridal, you can rest assured that the space is entirely yours for the duration of your appointment and privacy is guaranteed.
I suggest bringing one or two close friends or family members with you when you visit, although the space can accommodate more if there’s someone else you’d really like to join you and if you’re happy to squeeze in!
There will be a selection of complimentary refreshments available on the day – wedding dress shopping is thirsty work, after all!
Booking Your Appointment
Once you book your consultation you’ll be sent an email confirming your details and Zoe will be in touch to arrange a chat.
I recommend booking your appointment around 12 months before your wedding date if you can. Dresses are made to order and can take 3-6 months to arrive, plus you should allow 2 months for any adjustments to be made ahead of your big day.
However, if you are getting married sooner, I am often still able to assist – even if your wedding is this week! So, please do get in touch. Some of my suppliers are able to do rush orders and I also have a selection of “off the peg” gowns available to take away the same day. I love problem solving and making the impossible happen.
I understand that brides are busy ladies, so out-of-hours and evening appointments are also available on request. Just get in touch!
Top consultation tips!
- It's best to try dresses on barefoot or with socks. There is a podium for you to stand on, so no need to worry about heel height.
- I recommend wearing high-waisted, seamless underwear if possible, ideally nude in colour. But whatever you're comfortable in is completely fine!
- Please don't wear heavy make up (especially foundation/lipstick) to your wedding dress consultation. This can transfer onto the dresses, meaning other brides may miss out on trying them on whilst they're being cleaned.
- Please don't worry that the dresses won't fit you - I have samples in stock and these can be fitted to a wide variety of sizes - so, relax and enjoy the day!
